Kraken tax FAQ

How do I create a Kraken tax report?
Connect Kraken to Coinfig with a query-only API key. Coinfig reads your ledger and builds a filing-ready tax report.
Does Coinfig support Kraken staking?
Yes. Kraken staking rewards are imported as income at their value on the date received.
Does Kraken report to SARS?
No. Kraken is a US-based exchange and does not report to SARS. You must declare your gains. This is not tax advice.
Are read-only Kraken keys supported?
Yes — and recommended. Grant only the Query permissions so Coinfig can never trade or withdraw.
Can I upload a Kraken CSV?
Yes. Kraken ledger and trades CSV exports can be uploaded directly to Coinfig.
