How to connect Crypto.com to Coinfig

  1. Open Crypto.com Exchange API

    Log in to the Crypto.com Exchange (not just the app) and open Settings → API Keys.

  2. Create a read-only key

    Create a new key with read-only access. Do not enable trading or withdrawals.

  3. Copy your credentials

    Copy the API Key and Secret shown once by Crypto.com.

  4. Connect in Coinfig

    Paste the key and secret into Coinfig. For App-only activity, use the CSV export.

Known limitations

How do I do my Crypto.com taxes for SARS?
Connect the Crypto.com Exchange via read-only API, or upload an App CSV. Coinfig classifies trades, rewards and card spending for SARS.
Is Crypto.com card spending taxable?
Yes. Spending crypto on the Crypto.com Visa card is a disposal at the time of purchase. Coinfig imports these. This is not tax advice.
Does Crypto.com report to SARS?
No. Crypto.com is an offshore exchange and does not report to SARS. You must declare your gains yourself.
Why are the App and Exchange different?
Crypto.com runs a consumer App and a separate Exchange. Connect the Exchange via API and import the App via CSV to capture everything.
