How to connect Binance to Coinfig

Open Binance API management
Log in to Binance and go to Account → API Management.

Create a new API key
Create a System-generated key and complete the security verification.

Restrict to read-only
Enable only “Enable Reading”. Leave spot trading, futures and withdrawals disabled.

Connect in Coinfig
Paste the API Key and Secret into Coinfig and sync your Spot, Earn and conversion history.

Known limitations
- Binance API history is limited per endpoint; large accounts may need supplementary CSV exports.

Does Coinfig work with Binance for South African tax?
Yes. Coinfig imports your Binance history and classifies it for SARS, including conversions and Earn rewards.
Is my Binance API key safe with Coinfig?
Yes. Use a read-only key with only “Enable Reading” turned on. Coinfig can never trade or withdraw.
Does Binance report to SARS?
Binance is an offshore exchange and is not a SARS-registered local platform. However, SARS can request data and CARF expands cross-border sharing. You must still declare your Binance gains. This is not tax advice.
Can Coinfig handle Binance futures?
Coinfig imports futures PnL. Because the SA tax treatment of derivatives can vary, review these entries with the in-app classification tools.
What if my Binance history is incomplete?
For high-volume accounts, supplement the API sync with Binance’s CSV transaction exports to capture older records.
